What we collect
Account information
Your email address and password. If you subscribe to Counselor Access ($49/month), we also collect your name and payment information — processed securely through Stripe. We never store your full card details.
Student profile information
GPA, test scores, intended major, extracurriculars — whatever you choose to share so our counselors can give you accurate guidance. You control what you provide.
Counselor communications
Your questions and our counselors' responses, stored so you can reference them later.
Usage data
Basic, anonymized analytics about how you use AdmitMatch — pages visited, features used — to improve the service.
What we never do
- Sell your data to colleges, advertisers, or anyone else
- Share your profile with colleges unless you explicitly ask us to
- Integrate with your school's systems or pull data from your high school
- Use your data for advertising or targeted ads
Who sees your information
Our counselors — if you use Counselor Access, they see your profile and questions to give you personalized guidance.
Service providers — Stripe (payments), Supabase (data hosting). All bound by strict confidentiality agreements.
Legal requirements — only if required by law.
Data security
Industry-standard encryption and secure servers. No system is 100% secure — use a strong, unique password.
Children's privacy
If a parent becomes aware their child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it promptly.
