Important Information About Our Services

AdmitMatch provides college planning tools and counseling services to help families navigate the admissions process. However, we cannot guarantee admission to any college or university, and our guidance should be considered one part of your overall college planning strategy.

No Admission Guarantees

College admissions decisions are made solely by the colleges and universities themselves. AdmitMatch does not have any special relationship with admissions offices, and we cannot influence admission decisions.

Our recommendations are based on:

  • Historical admissions data and trends
  • Professional counselor experience and expertise
  • Publicly available college information
  • Statistical analysis and probability modeling

However, admissions outcomes depend on many factors beyond our control, including the strength of the applicant pool in any given year, institutional priorities, and subjective evaluation of application materials.

Data Accuracy and Currency

We strive to provide accurate, up-to-date information about colleges and universities. Our data comes from sources including:

  • The U.S. Department of Education's College Scorecard
  • College Common Data Sets
  • Institutional websites and publications
  • Our counselors' direct knowledge and research

However, college policies, admissions criteria, costs, and programs change frequently. We cannot guarantee that all information is current or complete. Always verify important details directly with the colleges you're considering.

We are not responsible for decisions made based on outdated or inaccurate information, nor for any consequences resulting from changes in college policies or admissions practices.

Service Limitations

Free College List Generator

Our free tool provides automated recommendations based on the information you provide. The quality of recommendations depends on the accuracy and completeness of your input. The tool uses algorithms and historical data but cannot account for all factors that influence admissions decisions.

Expert Review + Video ($79 one-time)

Our counselors provide professional opinions and recommendations based on their expertise and experience. However, these are opinions, not guarantees. Different counselors might offer different perspectives, and admissions outcomes may differ from our assessments.

Counselor on Demand ($49 per month)

This service provides ongoing guidance and support, but it is not a comprehensive college counseling program. We respond to your specific questions but do not proactively manage your entire application process. You remain responsible for meeting deadlines, submitting applications, and making final decisions.

Our counselors aim to respond within 24 business hours, but response times may be longer during peak seasons (November-December). This is not emergency support—plan ahead for time-sensitive questions.

Not a Substitute for Professional Counseling

AdmitMatch is designed to complement, not replace, the guidance provided by your high school counselor. We recommend working with your school counselor in addition to using our services.

For students with complex situations (learning differences, special circumstances, highly competitive profiles), we recommend considering comprehensive private counseling in addition to AdmitMatch.

Financial Aid and Scholarship Information

When we provide information about college costs, financial aid, or scholarships, this information is general in nature and may not reflect your specific financial situation. Financial aid packages vary significantly based on individual circumstances.

We are not financial advisors. For specific financial aid questions, consult with college financial aid offices or a qualified financial advisor. Always complete the FAFSA and CSS Profile (if required) to determine your actual financial aid eligibility.

Third-Party Information and Links

AdmitMatch may include links to college websites, scholarship databases, and other third-party resources. We do not control these external sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability.

The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement. We encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

Your Responsibility

You are ultimately responsible for:

  • Researching colleges and verifying information
  • Meeting all application deadlines
  • Submitting complete and accurate applications
  • Making final decisions about where to apply and enroll
  • Understanding and complying with college application requirements

AdmitMatch provides guidance and tools, but you must take action and make informed decisions based on your own research and circumstances.

Changes to Services

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes, but we are not liable for any modifications to our services.

Limitation of Liability

AdmitMatch and its counselors are not liable for:

  • Admission or rejection decisions made by colleges
  • Missed deadlines or incomplete applications
  • Financial aid outcomes or scholarship awards
  • Decisions made based on our guidance or recommendations
  • Errors or omissions in college data or information
  • Service interruptions or technical issues

You use AdmitMatch at your own risk. We provide our services "as is" without warranties of any kind.
